The Down South Crew took their humble roots in Denmark, South West WA. Cortext and Aero.D have been friends since primary school but it was the shared love for hip-hop which has developed the two MC’s to form Down South Crew. Since their formation in 2005 the act have performed many gigs in the South West and Perth region, including support acts for Illy, M-Phazes, 360, Phrase, Drapht, Dazastah, Layla, The Waifs, Little Birdy, Salmonella Dub, Downsyde, Morganics and Diafrix.

Perth boys Omac and wish had spent many years working together as roof tilers since leaving school. After nearly a decade of half hearted attempts to write songs, and ‘freestyle’ rapping at parties, the two young men from Beechboro finally put their heads together and commenced writing and recording their debut mixtape ‘Role Models’. Featuring some of WA’s best emcees such as Bentman, Complete and Sever who will also be performing on the evening.
