On A Serious Note

Hey all, got some bad news unfortunately... The other night at Mixtape Tuesday (The Newport Hotel) after previous warnings somebody thought it would be a good idea to graff the toilets. I'm not sure if they intentionally want to disrespect Rico and all of us in the Perth Hip Hop scene but you have. The Newport Hotel is one of the last venues in Perth that supports Hip Hop and they have warned us not to graffiti the place and the consequences will be that we will no longer be welcome to perform there. It may seem like some harmless graffiti but to me this is a personal attack on Rico and our scene. I will post the pictures below so if you know who does any of the following tags please warn them to not do it at The Newport. Rico has asked that somebody come forward with information on who has done this. I don't know how many of you actually follow the scene or just like to come down and hang out but please just know how hard Rico has worked and has to continue to work to make these events happen. For those that were around when it was BYP rockin' the stage and about 10 of us in the crowd Rico was the one that got the whole thing started and we aren't about to lose the BEST venue in Perth for Hip Hop over some petty shit. Fremantle is HUGE, if you want to graff there are plenty of places that aren't The Newport so go do it there. Anyway, I hope this issue gets resolved because if we  lose The Newport we can pretty much wave the whole scene good bye as the rest of Perth will only cater to us so often.
