Spit Syndicate, The Tongue & Class A all up in this bitch!

The Wildside Tour is coming to a town near you (and also totally far away) next week, stopping to impress the impressionable at Rocket Room, Northbridge on Thursday November 11 and Mojo's, Fremantle on Friday November 12, before heading to the inconveniently distant town of Albany on Saturday November 13, playing at Studio 146.
So, I don't like cutting and pasting without saying "Hey, I'm cutting and pasting this information"... So, I'm cutting and pasting this information... FOR YOU!

Elefant Tracks are happy to announce The Wildside Tour, hitting your town in November. Longtime collaborators The Tongue & Spit Syndicate will re-unite for a national tour supported by Melbourne's Class A.
The Tongue comes fresh from the release of his acclaimed new album Alternative Energy. Already featured as Album Of The Week on 2SER & FBi with plenty of great reviews already flowing in. The Tongue’s renowned charisma and sharp wit will be on display once again where he will be joined by DJ Skoob (3x NSW DMC Champion) and Joyride in a show not to be missed. Spit Syndicate are running on a high after the release of their critically acclaimed second album Exile. This tour will cap off what’s been an incredible year for the Sydney duo. They’ve had hugely successful tours with Horrorshow, their own Starry Eyed Tour and have won supports for the likes of Cypress Hill. Don't miss this chance to catch two of the country's most electrifying hip hop crews in a rare double-headline tour.

Now, I'm going to use this opportunity to talk about CLASS A. This is for a few reasons. One, because she happens to be a friend of mine whose career I have followed closely since her first mixtape release in 2007, and two, because I will be performing with her for the W.A leg of the Wildside Tour. Class A has been rapping for about 12 years; I have some of her first tracks she recorded on cassette as a wee fifteen year old lass. A Geelong girl now residing in Melbourne, she has worked her butt off over the past 12 years to carve a name for herself in this industry, supporting many Australian and international artists of high esteem over the years and, subsequently, proving that females have a bright future in this industry (just in case you weren't certain). Recently she celebrated the release of her first "official" LP (though third in total, off the back of her independant release Class with Parker in 2008), distributed by Other Tongues, with massive support nationally, and has joined Spit Syndicate and The Tongue for her first national tour to launch her full-length LP, Me, Me, Me & Him: The Secret Life of a Receptionist. The first single from the album, "So Bad", was launched onto national airwaves a few months ago, and it's smooth, catchy, playful lyricism and tone earned her many new listeners. Produced by M-Phazes, and with a shiny new film clip to boot, "So Bad" received a decent amount of rotation on Triple J to precede of the release of her new LP. Class A has been voted "Best Female MC" in the ozhiphop.com awards two years running (awwwkward!), and her feminine cheekiness has created an entirely new niche in the scene- a place where it's perfectly OK to be a girl and a rapper (and a receptionist)... and everything in between. I will also be performing some new material from my new album out next year, The Tree That Kept Apart The Stars, so make it down early to catch Class A & Kadyelle (that's me...)

If you do get down to either Rocket Room, Mojo's or Studio 146, I know you will not leave disappointed. Nor should you leave empty-handed, what with so many solid new releases for sale at the venues!
