The Freakz of The Nature WA album launch – Friday 20th April 2012 @ The Railway Hotel

After years of having members based on different sides of the country, and a massive album launch in Sydney earlier this year, electro hip hoppers The Freakz of The Nature officially return to WA, and what better way to kick it off than launching their album, ‘2000Zen’. What’s even better than that? You get a copy of the album as part of the entry fee!

The launch goes down Friday 20th of April at The Railway Hotel, 44 Tydeman Rd, North Fremantle. Also performing on the night will be Trooth, Wisdom 2th plus special guest DJ LXD from Melbourne.

Doors open at 8pm, with an open mic session between 8:30pm – 9pm, for any MCs out there who wanna drop a verse, best get down there early. Entry is only $10 which as we mentioned before, includes a copy of The Freakz of The Nature’s album 2000Zen!

It’s been 1 year since The Freakz last rocked the stage in WA, and this will be the first time the 2000Zen album has been performed in full in WA. The Freakz are known for their super energetic live sets, so no matter if you are new to The Freakz, or been there since 1996, this is the show to be at.

You can download the latest Freakz single 'People People' or stream the whole album for free now from the 'music' link at www.thefreakz.com

All Ages Quadruple Album Launch (Aftershock / Omac / Defekt / Cynical World)

Here it is! The QUADRUPLE album launch! Aftershock will be releasing their long-awaited “Creating Silence”, Omac will be releasing “Show Some Nerve”, Defekt will be releasing “Detrimental” and Cyncal World will be releasing “The Cynical World EP”. Also Aero D of the Down South Crew and The 6.0 Krew will also be performing with the sound provided by none other than DJ L-Street!

This is all going down at The Swan View Youth Centre with a big help from The Seen And Heard Foundation who have been cool enough to let us rappers swear on stage, yes, there will be coarse language, no censorship like most other underage gigs!

You'll have to bring I.D. though, something with your date of birth on it, a smart rider would be perfect. There will be security who will be doing bag checks since this is a drug-free event and there is no smoking allowed at the venue itself...

There will be loads of free CD's and merchandise for sale at the show. As well as an open mic at the beginning of the show! So if you think you got some skills, DJ L-Street will be on the wheels of steel, he'll slide you up a beat and you can show us all what you've got!

I know transport has always been a hassle to organize for underage shows, so I found out the 314 bus leaves from a stop on Talbot Rd after Churchill Dr at 11:07 pm towards the Midland Train Station :)

Now, entry will be $15 on the door, but you can buy pre-sale tickets for $10 each from any of the performing artists. If you want to get in contact with any of them, all their links are listed below :)

See you there!

Letters To The Sun - Appetizers

What up, first cab out of the rank for Attic Inventor. As you may know Loftee was getting a bit snowed under from the website and couldn't juggle everything he needed to do and the site at the same time. I was recommended to him by someone you all might know Pete Styla (Perth Underground reviewer) and I hope I can provide the same sort of content that Loftee did for so long. I don't quite have the smarts or the 2 and a half years under my belt running this thing but I'll do my best to bring everything here and on time.

Anyway check out this free music from Letters To The Sun (features Coin from The Stoops).

As I get to keep a little bit of my own flavour and can change up the format a little I'm getting rid of the Facebook links at the bottom of every post. If you want it YOU can find them.
