Phatchance feat Coptic Soldier. WA.

Sydney emcee Phatchance (aka Chance Waters) has been kicking around with his good mates Mind Over Matter & Coptic Soldier as the collaborative, I Forget, Sorry! for a while now. But he has now gone out on his own to release his first album Inkstains.

Inkstains made quite the impact late last year when it dropped and since then, it’s had heavy airplay on Triple J and overwhelming support in the J Unearthed charts. Phatchance has most definitely found his place in the Australian hip hop scene and it’s not what you’d typically expect. There’s no song about hoes and bitches on this debut album, just lyrics with thought, emotion and honesty in his from the heart songs.

If you’ve yet to discover him, there’s no better time than now as he’s touring the great West in early March, for your listening and viewing pleasure, feat. Coptic Soldier and various supports.

Hi, Loftee here. Some of you might know me from Mixtape Tuesdays or other Perth Hip Hop events. I am starting this blog because of the lack of internet presence for Perth Hip Hop. I know sites like mp3.com, reverbnation, soundclick etc etc exist but I want to have a uniformed go-to website for all of you that are interested in hearing new Perth Hip Hop music.

Some rules apply though so read carefully. You must have the right to post any tracks up here. I will accept single (or multiple) tracks in .mp3 format at the lowest quality of 128kbps 44.1khz. It is at your discretion to send at another format. I suggest using this website as a promotional tool and giving away lower quality tracks and provide me with links and images to direct others to the official place where they can buy the music.

I will post new tracks here, new albums here (if you are willing to give them away for free), new mixtapes and upcoming event information.

I will not accept links from other websites or myspace etc because I want to keep things organized and uniform. I will be uploading the tracks you send me to limelinx.com
I trust the website and I know that it is reliable for what I want to achieve.

I will try to keep this page fresh and up to date as much as possible but that is up to you. The more you guys make tracks and are willing to post them up the more active this website will be.

I am going to run some small advertising campaigns and also add a donation feature and attempt to raise some revenue from google advertising. I do not aim to profit from this website so any extra money will go into development of this website or will be donated to support local Perth Hip Hop events.
